Recently we have seen a few garden office designs which feature doors on two elevations. In some cases, this has been two sets of sliding or bi-fold doors to create a glazed corner. In other cases, two sets of doors have been incorporated to create easy access in and out of the building.
This recent build by Garden Fortress in Cobham, Surrey is a good example of a garden office design with doors on two sides. The building which is a substantial 5.5 meters wide and 3 meters deep, features a set of bi-fold doors on the front elevation. These doors will fold back to create a wide opening which means the inside and outside flow together as one.
A single door has been positioned on the left-hand elevation. Positioned at the end of the footpath this door creates easy access into the office.
A desk height rectangular window has been positioned in the right-hand wall. This window will frame the views of the fields beyond, as the owner sits at their desk.
Aluminium door & window upgrade
As standard, Garden Fortress use uPVC doors and windows on their garden office buildings. This customer, however, chose to upgrade the specification to aluminium doors & windows. The exterior of these doors is powder coated dark grey, and the internal face is white to blend with the plastered and decorated interior.
Fully wired garden office
Garden Fortress fully wire their garden offices with ample double sockets and downlights recessed into the ceiling. The fittings are brushed steel for a modern look.
Exterior grade downlights have been recessed into the roof canopy detail that runs along the front of the building. These lights will create a nice curtain of light along the front of the building.
