If you are looking for a more traditional style garden office, you’ll be interested in this recent build by Timeless Garden Rooms.
Timeless Garden Rooms are known for their pitched roof garden rooms that are built in a traditional style, with decorative features like scalloped barge boards and painted cladding. This customer wanted all these traditional design elements, but decided that a mono pitched roof design was a better fit for them than the normal dual pitched roof design. Living in London, they felt that a pitch roof would be too obtrusive for their neighbours.
The overall height of this garden office is 2.7m, so a Planning application was made. The customer and the Timeless Garden Rooms team decided that they would make the Planning application rather than compromise on the specification to get the building to comply with the Permitted Development rule of 2.5m.
This garden office sits on a footprint of 5 meters wide x 3.7 meters deep. The space has been divided into a home office, a cloakroom with toilet and basin and a storage area for bikes and toys.
Whilst the exterior of this office oozes traditional charm, the interior has a modern feel. The wooden floor has been mixed with Farrow & Ball painted walls and ceiling.
This project is a clear example of a designer and client working together to create a garden office that works for the family.
