Garden offices are so versatile they can be used for virtually any occupation. One of the most popular uses is as a beauty studio. This allows the owner to have the flexibility of working from home but creates a dedicated environment for clients to visit without having to invade your private living space.
Miniature Manors were asked by a customer in Sevenoaks to create a sleek, modern building that would reflect her business brand and the quality of her work. As bespoke garden office designers, the Minature Manors team were ready to help.
To achieve the contemporary brief, it was decided that the building would be clad externally in Western Red Cedar, this has been mixed with grey aluminium doors and windows to complement those used in the main house. As you can see this creates a very clean, sleek look.
Discreet storage was also required for storing products used in the business, so Miniature Manors created a secret storage room that is accessed from the exterior of the building. The door of this storage room has been clad in the cedar and carefully matched with the cladding so that you can barely see it is there.
The building has been topped off with a sedum roof. Sedum roofs are a popular option on buildings like this as they help them blend into the garden, they also provide a valuable natural environment for birds and insects. A sedum roof looks particularly good when viewed from an upstairs window – your neighbours will love it compared to looking at a black rubber roof!
As you can see from these images the interior has a light, modern feel thanks to the fully plastered and decorated interior.
We would say that Miniature Manors have hit their original brief spot on.
