According to Design Week Google has installed 90 modular meeting pods in their new Kings Cross offices.
The timber and glass pods are known as ‘Jacks’ and based on a modular building system so that they can easily be reconfigured as teams change and grow. The ‘Jacks’ have a deliberately pared down finish, making use of sheet materials.
The interior of the pod is simply furnished, with just a few chairs, table and a conferencing system. This is again a deliberate move so that users of the meeting room can tailor the space to the needs of the meeting. You can emulate this flexibility in a garden office.
Its great to see big business like Google adopt the modular pod concept.
