Many small business owners are choosing a garden office as an HQ for their business. Offering all the benefits of home working, while creating a modern and professional workspace for customers to visit.
This project is by Garden2Office who offer highly insulated Swedish garden office buildings, is for a dog grooming business.
A quick video overview of this project:
The pitched roof design sits on a footprint of 3.5 meters wide by 4 meters deep. The building is from Garden2Offices Malmo Range. Garden2Office tailor their designs to each client’s specific needs and tastes, so ultimately every design is bespoke.
For this client, they added partition walls to create a separate storage room. This is becoming a popular option for buyers who are looking for a building to serve several uses under the one roof. The door to this storage area is on the front elevation and has been clad with the same Cedar cladding as the wall.
High-level glazing
The main room has a wonderfully light feeling. This is thanks to the mix of glazing the client has chosen. They have mixed two sets of bi-fold doors with opening windows. They have also had some high-level glazing incorporated – triple glazed triangular windows in the gable end and Velux skylights in the roof.
Seamed galvanised roof
Garden2Office is one of a few suppliers to offer a galvanised pitched roof covering. Again, the system they use is from Sweden. We love the seamed joints in the roof and how the colour of the roofing matches the doors and windows.
Externally, Western Red Cedar cladding has been mixed with Cedral cladding, which is a low maintenance, pre-coloured cement fibre board. The Cedral has been used on the side wall that would otherwise be difficult to maintain.
Garden office with vaulted ceiling
Inside, the room has a light and airy feel thanks to the vaulted ceiling and the skylights. The room has been fully plastered and decorated, and durable laminate floor laid.
We like the splash of colour the customer has chosen and the rack lighting that runs along the apex of the ceiling.
Between them, Garden2Office and their client have created a stylish and professional grooming parlour. Yet, it’s a building that will stand up to the rigours of the job and the four-legged clients.
