Because of the way garden offices are designed and built they offer good acoustic properties as standard. If you need a more high-spec solution for dealing with sound, many garden office suppliers offer acoustic packages. Our research over the years has found that what is classed as a soundproof office by some suppliers is quite different to what others offer. For instance, some suppliers will add the option of acoustic plasterboard, while others have worked with sound engineers to create specifications that include wrapping the whole structure in an acoustic rubber, fitting acoustic insulation, creating suspended walls and coupling all this with acoustic glazing etc.
These systems create an internal space that looks like a room in a modern house. However, you may have seen soundproof rooms over the years that have foam on the walls. Having been a customer of Cutfoam over the years, we were interested to get an email recently telling us about their foam soundproofing solutions. They have several different acoustic foam products that can be applied to the interior of a building to deaden the sound. Each of the different profiles offers a different level of soundproofness.
What appealed to us was the different profiles and more importantly the great range of colours, including Pantone colours this acoustic foam comes in. We could see this being a funky solution for use in a garden office, particularly garden office buildings that are being used by multiple members of staff or as fitness studios.
The Cutfoam email said this about their hexagonal acoustic foam tiles:
Hexagonal acoustic foam tiles area a great option for any work environment, but we have found they are particularly popular with fitness studio clients.
