One of the best pieces of advice we can give you when buying a garden office is to try and see one before you buy. Whilst this is not a s easy as popping down to the local DIY store, there are several ways to see garden office examples before you buy.
There are several big shows like Grand Designs Live where garden office suppliers exhibit. We are also hearing of suppliers taking buildings to regional and County shows, so keep an eye out for these.
There are also a number of garden office suppliers who have show sites at their workshops. This is one of the better ways to see a garden office before you buy as you will get to see more than one example in a visit.
Garden office show sites to visit
Smart Garden Offices offer four different ranges of garden office. They have examples of their ranges on display at their Suffolk HQ. Viewing is by appointment, but the Smart team can be quite flexible in arranging viewings in an evening or on a weekend.

Warwick Buildings have a centrally based show site, with a wide range of buildings you can view. The show site is open during office hours Monday to Friday and you are free to drop in. Warwick Buildings have a useful page on their website regarding their show site.
Warwick Buildings are centrally located, their postcode is CV47 9QZ. If you want more information or to book an appointment give them a call on 01926 932 264
Visit a local customer
As we say these show sites are great as you will get to see several garden office examples in one visit. However not all suppliers have these sites.
Most garden office suppliers will have arrangements with previous customers for potential new customers to visit their building. This means that they are probably able to arrange for you to see a garden office quite locally to you.
Whether you go to a show, visit a local build or travel to a suppliers show site - it really is worth the effort to see a garden office before you buy.
Seeing a garden office and spending time inside, will really give you the feel for a garden office building. You will get to see the quality of the workmanship and identify features you want to include in your own garden office design.
Next steps:
Talk to suppliers about the size and style of garden office you are looking for. If there is a particular feature you want to see, like bi-fold doors. Ask your supplier if they have a similar size building with these features you can visit.
